No photos were allowed inside. The interior was rather plain except for one of the chapels, dating from a much later period, which contained frescoes depicting the Last Judgement by Signorelli. Michelangelo's Last Judgment in the Sistine Chapel is believed to have been influenced by Signorelli's frescoes.
