Learned that Budweizer Budvar is originally a Czech Beer dating from 1245. The name was highjacked by a German, Adolphus Busch who started brewing in the USA in 1876 as Budweiser. There is still active litagation concerning the naming rights. USA made Budweiser is sold in Europe as "Bud", since they can't use the Budweiser name. OK, TMI
