This statue is "King Bladud and Pig". Legend has it that he was a prince who was banished from the court because he had Leprosy. He became a pig farmer not far from current Bath. He discovered the healing power of the bath waters from the pigs, and as a result his leprosy was cured. He became King and lived happily ever after, or something like that.
