We visited Le Grande Trianon which was a modest little "mini" palace built by Louis XIV for his "chief mistress". It was a semi-official position which came with its own perks. There were many "CMs" over the years, with Madame de Pompadour being one of the well known ones for Louis XV. (image from Google Images)
