Max gave us a quicky orientation tour of the "Old Town Center" area. We passed by the Church of Saint Irene, built between 1591 and 1639 in the Baroque style and dedicated to the patron saint of the city. Irene was the patron saint of Lecce until 1656, when she was replaced by Saint Oronzo.
