The symbol of Lecce is a female wolf under a holm oak tree. This mosaic, made in 1953, is located in the main Piazzo Sant'Oronzo. Superstition has it that any student who dares to step on the she-wolf of Lecce will not pass the school exams. My photo: not so good!
