We passed by the "Monumento a Domenico Modugno" statue. It is a sculpture of the famous Italian singer from Polignano a Mare, Domenico Modugno standing with his arms outstretched, as when he performed his best known hit "Volare". He was also a politican which is probably how the statue got there. (Google image on the left)
