Antonia explained how traditional women's clothing was made by young girls as their dowry and included embroidered silk neck pieces, which told the story of where the woman was from, as well as her state of being; married, single, widowed, mother , grandmother, etc. She would make some 40 different ones prior to marriage to cover all contingencies which she would wear throughout her life. Examples of the neck pieces are framed on the walls.
