St Triphon’s Cathedral built in the Romanesque style in 1166, and destroyed by the 1667 earthquake, and then rebuilt in the Baroque style. It was severely damaged again in the 1979 earthquake, and restored in 2016. The gilded statue of St Triphon sits above the entrance doorway
